Joshua NypaverÌýis an accomplished digital communications leader with over 15 years of experience atÌý°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ (JCSU), where he currently serves as theÌýAssistant Director for Digital Communications. Since joining JCSU in 2008, Joshua has played a key role in enhancing the university’s digital presence, being promoted fromÌýWebmaster/Assistant Print Shop CoordinatorÌýtoÌýWeb Services CoordinatorÌýand eventually to his current leadership position in 2022.

During his tenure, Joshua has led numerous high-profile digital initiatives, including the complete revamp of the university website and the successful launch of JCSU’s social media platforms. He has also overseen the creation of special website content to showcase key university events like theÌý50th Anniversary of the March on Washington,ÌýHomecoming, andÌýCommencement.

Joshua’s technical expertise includesÌýweb development,Ìýgraphic designÌýusing theÌýAdobe Creative Suite, and the production ofÌýmultimedia contentÌýsuch asÌývideos, animations, andÌýinfographics. He has produced drone photography, live-streamed major events, and developed analytics strategies to improve user engagement across various platforms. His work on projects like theÌýCongressional Black Caucus Institute’s nationally promoted event during the Democratic National ConventionÌýis a testament to his capability in handling large-scale media projects.

In addition to his contributions at JCSU, Joshua has also been aÌýVideo EditorÌýandÌýInternet Content EditorÌýatÌýWCNC-TV, where he honed his skills in video editing, podcast development, and news content production. His ability to blend technical skills with creative strategy has been central to his success in both higher education and media environments.

Joshua has received multiple awards for his exceptional service, including theÌýMoses S. Belton Award for Distinguished Administrative Service, theÌýLonnie T. Parker Pinnacle Award for Service, and theÌýTrenchworker AwardÌý(twice), all recognizing his dedication and impact at JCSU.

AÌýgraduate of Winthrop UniversityÌýwith aÌýBachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, Joshua is also deeply involved in his community. He has been aÌýmember of the Rock Hill Tree CommissionÌýsince 2007, serving as a past chairman.

Outside of his professional achievements, Joshua is an avid gamer with a passion forÌýrole-playing gamesÌýlikeÌýDungeons and Dragons. He resides inÌýRock Hill, SC, with his daughter,ÌýJenna, and enjoys balancing his digital career with his creative interests. Connect with him onÌýLinkedInÌýatÌý.
