°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ ranks top 10 in North Carolina for online programs

Charlotte, N.C. / October 14, 2019Ìý– °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ is taking top honors in a new poll. SR Education Group released its 10th Annual Best Online Colleges in the Nation, and JCSU is taking the #9 spot in North Carolina.Ìý

The university offers five competitive online programs for students including, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting,Ìý Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Management, Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Dr. Laura Colson McLean, Dean of Metropolitan College, which houses these programs, said she is proud to have been a part of the development of online courses at JCSU.

“It’s an honor because there are a lot of online degree programs, but just because it’s an online degree program does not mean it’s considered quality through a student’s perspective and for us to rank number nine speaks volume of what we have created, and we hope to continue to produce the same outcome moving further up the ladder.â€

Rankings are based on the number of online programs, tuition costs and median salaries post-graduation.

JCSU’s campus was abuzz Friday as freshmen students and their families unpacked their cars, moved into their residence halls, and set off on their journeys as Golden Bulls.ÌýThis new generation of Smithites is the largest incoming class since before the COVID-19 pandemic. This increase in enrollment has brought a number of unique and expressive new students to campus.
