������Ƶ has partnered with Northeastern University’s Charlotte campus to create a pipeline for aspiring Black healthcare professionals.

The partnership will create opportunities for JCSU students to first attain foundational pre-health education from JCSU before transitioning to Northeastern’s accelerated Bachelor of Nursing, Master of Public Health or Master of Applied Behavioral Analysis programs.

������Ƶ is known as home of a comprehensive Esports and Gaming Program that is the first of its kind at an HBCU.
Esports and Gaming at JCSU is comprised of an academic program, an esports lab and a highly competitive esports club, which makes it different from programs at other institutions.

With sights set on increasing diversity in the field by educating more esports and gaming professionals, JCSU hosted Esports and Gaming Week, which attracted more than 400 middle and high school students to campus March 1 and 2.

March is designated as National Social Work Month, a month celebrated at JCSU with meaningful discussions, special guest appearances and opportunities for social work students to network with their peers.

������Ƶ’s Communication Arts department was invited to send one student journalist to attend a White House briefing, and they decided to send senior Jayla DeBoles.

The briefing was hosted by Keisha Lance Bottoms, the senior advisor to the President for Public Engagement, and featured a visit from Vice President Kamala Harris.

Yamani Smith-Murrell ’11 was a smart kid, but admits he didn’t always apply himself. But a chance meeting with a ������Ƶ admissions counselor on a “You Can” college tour was the catalyst that would change his life forever.

A six-person debate team from ������Ƶ recently traveled to Raleigh for the annual North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU) Ethics Bowl.

The U.S. Department of Commerce National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) recently awarded ������Ƶ $5.7 million for campus technology upgrades and broadband 5G deployment. This is the largest government grant the University has received.��

������Ƶ organizations and academic programs will be debuting a number of events in celebration of Black History Month throughout February.

But I Am Black History Week, put on by the Office of Student Leadership and Engagement, the JCSU Royal Court and the Golden Bulls Activity Committee (GBAC) will host daily events from Feb. 13 to 17.

Faculty from 15 institutions of higher learning were selected as candidates for the Faculty Innovation Fellowship at Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school), one of whom is ������Ƶ’s own Dr. John Bannister.

������Ƶ added Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, N.Y. to its JCSU Connect Program during an articulation agreement signing.
