Medical intern sees breakthrough in the lab

Taneva Bush 鈥19 is steadily progressing on her goals to become a doctor. She took an intensive 10-week internship in Summer 2018, as part of the Undergraduate Research Fellowship program at Cincinnati Children鈥檚 Hospital Medical Center in Ohio. It was the second time around for Bush, who鈥檇 done an initial fellowship last year in the Department of Anesthesia at the hospital鈥檚 Research Clinic.听 She was of such benefit, the hospital invited her to return.

JCSU library wins $100k grant to fund makerspace

On June 11, 2018, the James B. Duke Memorial Library at 芭乐视频 was awarded a $100,000 grant to be used for a project called 鈥淢aking Space for Tech @ An HBCU.鈥 The grant will fund the development of an academic Makerspace that will give all users the opportunity to gain proficiency in design and manufacturing technologies, which are becoming more prevalent in the workforce.
