In a city like Charlotte, getting around might be difficult for new residents. But JCSU students, faculty and staff have a number of public transportation options. Charlotte’s public transportation system, CATS, offers bus, streetcar and light rail services throughout the city. The Gold Line, a new streetcar in Charlotte, stretches from Charlotte’s East side right to °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ.
Need to go farther? Charlotte Douglas International Airport and an Amtrak station are also nearby.

The city is known for its festivals celebrating music, food and the arts, not to mention the world-class theatres in the area which feature local and Broadway acts! Major concerts come to the city at Spectrum Center and Bank of America Stadium.
