JCSU Students Join Potlucks for Pluralism Program for Ƶ to Local Gurdwara

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, several JCSU students, faculty and staff shared an evening of food, fellowship and learning at the Gurdwara Sahib Charlotte, one of two Sikh temples in the city. They attended the latest dinner/dialogue organized by Potlucks for Pluralism, a partnership between JCSU and MeckMIN, Mecklenburg County’s interfaith network. The events bring students from JCSU, Johnson & Wales University, Davidson College, Queens University of Charlotte and UNC Charlotte together with different religious communities.

On Saturday, April 27, Esports and Gaming faculty and staff welcomed up to 30 middle and high school students from near and far, from the Charlotte Metro area to Greensboro, N.C. The event was called STEM and STEAM: Changing the Game through Esports and Gaming.

Portrait of a Queen: Charlotte Symphony Orchestra + JCSU Concert Choir

Inauguration Week kicked off with a joint concert titled “Portrait of a Queen,” featuring the JCSU Concert Choir, JCSU Drumline and the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. This year was the second consecutive year of this partnership. More than 400 tickets were issued for this event, held inside the Jack S. Brayboy Gymnasium, April 2, 2024.

It's a balance of athletics and education at the CIAA Tournament in Baltimore. When they're not at the CFG Stadium cheering on the Golden Bulls, the brigade of student leaders, including the SGA, Mister and Miss JCSU and the royal court - along with Admissions and Student Affairs staff - are inspiring young, bright high school students with dreams of going to college, possibly JCSU! If the energy atCollege Education Day at the Baltimore Convention Center is any indication of the interest level among Baltimore high school students, JCSU can expect a flood of new applicants for the 2024-25 school year.
